Bread And Butter Pudding.

  • 8 slices of bread.
  • 20 g sultans or currants.
  • 20 g sugar.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 500 ml milk.
  1. Butter the bread and cut into triangles, fingers or squares.
  2. Arrange in a small pie dish with the sultans sprinkled on top ( 2 more layers can be arranged.)
  3. Put the sugar in a basin, add the egg and beat well.
  4. Pour the milk, which can be warm stirring all the time.
  5. Starin the mixture over the buttered bread slices.
  6. Leave the pudding to stand for 10-15 minutes before it is baked for the bread to soak in some milk.
  7. Bake in the coolest part of a very moderate oven 160 degrees, gas no. 3, for approximately 45 minutes.
NB: This can be served with custard sauce.
