Ingredients.
  • 1 tea spoon tea leaves. - (2 cups boiling water/ gives a light tea.)
  • 2 tea spoon tea leaves - (2 cups boiling water/ gives a strong tea.)
Methods.
  1. Boil cold water freshly drawn from the tap (cooled boiled water which is boiled again is tasteless and tea made with such water has poor flavor.)
  2. Rinse a clean tea pot with hot water to heat it.
  3. Place tea leaves in the warm teapot.
  4. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves.
  5. Let it stand for 3-5 minutes to extract the flavor.
  6. Heat a second tea pot.
  7. Strain the tea into the second tea pot.
  8. Serve with milk and granulated sugar or instead of milk, serve with a slice of lemon.

Variations.
  1. African tea: This is served in a tea pot with everything mixed together. It can be hot water or hot milk.
  2. European tea: This is served with milk and hot water in a separate milk pots and tea pots receptively and sugar placed in a sugar bowl.
